A 10-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital with a stab wound to the forehead.
Last night, police were called to an address in Hedge End, Southampton, in response to reports of a violent assault.
The boy had a cut above his right eye after being stabbed, according to the police.
It is alleged that he was attacked by a 16-year-old boy during a brawl that occurred last night about 8 o’clock.
The infant was rushed to Southampton General Hospital for medical treatment.
The older boy from Hedge End has been arrested in the interim.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police stated, “We were called to Upper Northam Road in Hedge End at 7:48 p.m. on September 10 in response to reports of a violent assault.”
‘It is alleged that a 16-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy got into an altercation at an address, which resulted in the younger child sustaining a cut above his eye.
He was sent to Southampton General Hospital for medical care.
“A 16-year-old boy from Hedge End has been arrested on suspicion of violating Section 18 — intentionally causing severe bodily harm.”
He continues to be detained at this moment.
