Wednesday, a 20-year-old male from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, is scheduled to appear before the Standerton district court on allegations of murder.
The police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, stated that police officers were dispatched to the boundaries of a farm in Standerton, where they discovered the death of 51-year-old Thapelo Motloung.
The deceased’s apparent injuries showed he had been brutally abused.
“Upon the arrival of medical personnel, who were also dispatched to the scene, he was pronounced dead. “A murder case was opened, and police began their investigation immediately,” stated Mohlala.
Members of the SAPS [South African Police Service] worked nonstop to solve the case. They gathered important information that led to Monday’s arrest of the suspect in Standerton.”
