Massachusetts police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 35-year-old woman who disappeared Tuesday night after leaving her boyfriend’s house.
Brittany Tee, from Brookfield, has been gone for over a week, but her disappearance was only reported three days after she was last seen.
“They’ve had a drone in the air, cadaver dogs, people on the ground. They got dogs looking for human scent. It’s been an extensive and thorough search,” said Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr, according to Boston 25 News.
Over the weekend, authorities searched Brookfield around the boyfriend’s home for clues, and police dogs ultimately detected Tee’s smell in the woods near Lewis Field, a playground.
On Sunday, authorities used a drone to conduct an aerial search for the missing woman. According to Tee’s acquaintances, the delay in reporting her missing was caused by a lack of communication.
“There’s a lot of people that are really concerned about her and we just want her to know that we all love her so much and that we want her home safe,” said Brittany’s friend, Mattie Sjoblom.
Dozens of her loved ones visited the Brookfield Police Department to enquire about the investigation, with the hope that the rising pressure may prompt the search to intensify.

“Today was the day that all of us just kind of had enough. We did show a large presence of support out in the parking lot across the street from the station today which I feel as though helped get the ball rolling,” Sjoblom added.
Although a number of Tee’s friends wanted to join in the search, detectives are concerned that they may accidentally tamper with crucial evidence.
“I know the urge is out there to go and help in the search right now but we’re asking that you please not do that now,” said Brookfield Police Cheif Michael Blanchard, according to CBS Boston.
Tee has a height of 5’6″, a weight of 120 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black winter coat, jeans, and work boots. According to her relatives and friends, she has never gone this long without communicating with anybody.
Officials have requested that adjacent Brookfield homeowners examine any surveillance cameras they may have installed outside their houses for evidence related to the investigation.
