What happened to the 35-year-old suspected ritualist who was found with fresh human parts in Ondo state has been revealed. The alleged ritualist claimed that he did not kill the victim.
We reported on Monday, January 31st, that a suspected ritualist named Timothy Odeniyi was apprehended as he was going to deliver human parts in Lagos state. Amotekun’s security team apprehended him.
The alleged ritualist said that he obtained the human legs and hands from a burial cemetery in Ondo town’s Sabo axis while being paraded before newcomers.
He told newmen that he was working as a truck driver for a brewery company before he was promised 30 million naira to get human parts. He accused his former Boss, saying that he was the one that gave him the assignment to get the body parts.
” I went to the cemetery to cut the legs and hands of one of the bodies buried there. Once I deliver the items, he promised to give me N30 million, ” the suspect narrated.
He maintained that he didn’ t kill anyone, that he only went to the cemetery to get the human parts.
However, the commander of the corps in the state, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, disputed the suspect’ s claim, saying that the suspect might have killed someone before detaching the body parts after which he buried the parts in a shallow grave.
According to the commander, the suspect was caught with human parts and upon interrogation, he disclosed that he buried other parts of the body at the said cemetery.
In another development, four teenage boys were arrested for allegedly killing a minor girl and burning her head for ritual purposes. The suspects said that they lured the girl into a house, where they killed her.
