Wilfred Ndidi is relishing his partnership with Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans at Leicester City.
The Nigerian has built a relationship with Tielemans since he first arrived on loan from Monaco just over three years ago.
Both players were instrumental to the Foxes FA Cup triumph for the first time in their 137-year history last season, with the Belgian’s stunning strike earning the Foxes a 1-0 win over Chelsea.
Ndidi’s most regular partner in midfield, told Leicester City Mercury, “Youri is a great player, he’s a player I love.
He plays great in the middle because of his technique.
We complement each other.
“I’m really happy because he’s really doing well.
For the time being, I’m just enjoying the moment.
We will try as much as possible to work with each other and protect the team.
He’s been really good.
”
Ndidi and Tielemans are expected to feature for Leicester City when they face Randers in the second leg of their Europa Conference League play-off tie on Thursday (today).
Brendan Rodgers’ men have been struggling in the Premier League this season and have already been knocked out of the UEFA Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
The Europa Conference League marks a chance for the squad to kick-start their season and make amends.
Leicester exited the Europa League from the group stage this season after struggling to advance from a quartet including Napoli, Legia Warsaw and Spartak Moscow.
Last week, the Foxes got off to a good start with a 4-1 win over Randers in the Europa Conference League at the King Power Stadium.
