Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, joined the Okoye family of Agulu in Anaocha council area, to pay the last respect to their late matriarch, Mrs Helena Okoye.
The mass which was celebrated by Most Reverend Peter Okpalaeke was held at Madonna Catholic Church, Agulu.
Commiserating with family and the entire Agulu Community, Governor Obiano praised late Mrs Okoye for raising her children well.
Speaking on behalf of his elder brother, Chief Damian Okoye, one of the sons of the deceased, Dr. John Okoye thanked everyone for identifying with them in their moment of grief.
Till her death at age eighty-seven, late Lolo Okoye was mother to Dr. Ifeanyi Okoye of Juhel Pharmaceutical Company.
Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that the funeral mass was also attended by the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uchenna Okafor, Anambra State Governor-Elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Senator Uche Ekwunife, family members, friends and well-wishers.
