Somizi Mhlongo’s furniture and other movable assets auctioned off by SARS

The South African Revenue Services is said to have auctioned off the reality star and media personality’s furnishings and other transportable goods. According to the Sunday World, SARS is attempting to reclaim R3.5 million in unpaid taxes.

The publication also claims that R1.5 million in royalties from Somizi’s reality show, Living The Dream, will be paid to SARS.

The sale of execution for the auction of furniture and other movable assets was issued in November 2015, according to the report.

On the 18th of May, the transportable property was allegedly authorized for sale at the Sandton North Sheriff’s offices in Kensington, Randburg.

Some of the items that were included in the auction were:

  • A Samsung washing machine
  • 2 red human statues
  • a white sculpture
  • Le Creuset bowl
  • Smeg Dishwasher
  • Hisense TV
  • Gas heater
  • Samsung fridge
  • Carrol Boyes bowl

According to reports, Somizi and Mohale were supposed to earn R1.5 million for the airing of their wedding, but producer Legend Manqele did not give the money to the couple.
