4-year old Townsville girl Clara Clark, suffers allergic reaction to everything

A determined family refuses to give up hope for a better life for their four-year-old daughter, who is allergic to practically everything in her environment.

Clara Clark has severe allergic reactions to solid foods, cold temperatures, mosquito bites, and even the air, and can only take infant baby formula and ice cubes as a reward.

From her home in Townsville, North Queensland, Elisa Clark, 33, told Daily Mail Australia that her daughter was courageous.

‘She no longer complains about frequent reflux, abdominal discomfort, or body aches, and only does so when they are severe,’ she said.

Clara was diagnosed with Mass Cell Activation Syndrome as a baby, which can lead to anaphylactic shock.

She also has four other medical issues that affect her allergic reactions.

Clara’s condition worsened a year ago when she started responding to even her 15’safe foods,’ and the only solid food she’s attempting now is crumbs to see how tolerable she is.

Clara experienced terrible stomach pains, acid reflux, and other symptoms linked with glucose intolerance as a result of them all.

Clara’s allergies prevent her from going to kindergarten and may keep her from going to school altogether.

Clara’s moods may be low if she compares herself to other youngsters, according to Ms Clark.

‘She’s upset, and she asks me why none of the other kids have a sick stomach,’ she said.

‘She fantasizes about what she’ll be able to consume once her stomach is healed.
