Children screamed in terror as the pendulum-style ride dropped to the ground, landing upside down.
On Saturday, footage from Ataturk Park in south-western Turkey showed the kids laughing and happy just before the sitting portion broke away.
Onlookers raced to aid individuals trapped beneath the metal structure, but they couldn’t be released until firefighters arrived.
The fact that no one died in the ‘freak accident’ was a miracle, but three 11-year-olds were brought to the hospital with injuries.
‘While we were swinging, a cable or something broke,’ one child told local media.
The child said, ‘The ride flew through the air and landed upside down. I hit my head and I also have bruising on my foot.’
It is unknown what caused the malfunction, but park officials are attempting to remove the hazardous rde.
