Simi Kosoko, a popular musician, has stated that she did not allow her husband, Adekunle Kosoko aka Adekunle Gold, to choose which songs would be included in her recent album.
According to Simi, Adekunle Gold provided advice for the album ‘To Be Honest,’ but she made the final decision.
When a fan inquired about Adekunle Gold’s role in the album’s song selection, she acknowledged as much during a listening session for the album.
“No,” says the Joromi crooner. Obviously, his opinion is valuable to me, and I can inquire about his thoughts on several topics. But, in the end of the day, I was the one who chose all of the songs and how they turned out.”
“Honestly, I’m incredibly grateful,” she continued, “because I know there are a lot of wonderful musicians who put in a lot of effort and want to win.” I don’t take my current situation for granted.
“I don’t think it definitely has to be me because many people also deserve these things. I am just really grateful. I am grateful for my supporters, and I am grateful that I am able to continue excelling at my craft.”
