A young woman was saved by two NYPD officers after she fell onto the rails of a Brooklyn subway station during a morning rush hour while experiencing a “medical episode.”
The two officers, Muhammed Ghani and Rochelle Paulburton, saw a 25-year-old woman tumbling from the platform at the Bay Ridge 95th Street station at 8:30 on Monday morning while they were on transit duty.
The two policemen can be seen strolling closely behind the woman as she progressively approaches the edge of the platform in bodycam video that was made available by the 68th Precinct Police on Tuesday.
Her feet become entangled, and she falls onto the northbound R train’s subterranean rails.
As the young woman shakes uncontrollably, it appears as though she is having a seizure, and one of the police officers jumps onto the rail to lift her.
In order to rapidly remove the woman from the rail in case a train was about to arrive at the station, the second officer assisted her colleague from the platform.
