On Friday morning, a shooting at a state park in eastern Iowa left three people dead, and the alleged shooter was also murdered, according to authorities.
Before 6:30 a.m., according to a statement from Mike Krapfl, special agent in charge of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, police responded to reports of a gunshot at the Maquoketa Caves State Park Campground.
Krapfl said three persons were found dead at the location by authorities responding to allegations of gunshots, but he did not say how they died or reveal their identities.
