Rapper JayDaYoungan dies after being shot outside of his Louisiana home

Just over a month after being freed from jail on gun charges, rapper JayDaYoungan passed away on Wednesday night after being shot outside of his Louisiana home.

Both JayDaYoungan, 24, actual name Javorius Scott, and Kenyatta Scott Sr., a male relative, were shot outside the residence in Bogalusa, according to authorities.

The rapper was shot shortly before six o’clock and was taken in critical condition to a local hospital. He had lost a significant amount of blood, according to sources, and was taken right away to surgery.

Just before midnight, police announced that JayDaYoungan had passed away. Scott Sr., who some believe is the rapper’s father, was said to be in stable condition.

A half-hour or so after the gunfire that injured JayDaYoungan, according to the police, there was another shooting in the area. Officials stated that there was a chance the shootings were connected.

2017 saw the signing of JayDaYoungan to Atlantic Records. He had collaborated with rappers such as Lato, Moneybagg Yo, Boosie Badazz, and Lil Durk.

Police apprehended him in October 2021 when he was carrying a 9mm pistol that was unlawful for him to possess because of Texas indictments he was under for allegedly assaulting a pregnant lady and illegally possessing oxycodone.

He was charged with gun possession and was given credit for time served when he was released from prison in June.

The rapper frequently posted pictures of his young son on his Instagram account, and he was a proud father.

As he danced and played with his son, JayDaYoungan rapped in his most recent Instagram post, which was published a day ago.

The three singles by JayDaYoungan that are best known are Opps, 23 Island, and Elimination. Misunderstood, his 2019 album, peaked at #43 on the top 200 Billboard charts.
