One of Orlando Pirates’ players, who spent the previous two seasons on loan at Golden Arrows, has chosen not to have his contract renewed.
Mthokosizi Dube, according to Unplayable, is no longer a Pirates player after the two sides reached a mutual decision to split ways.
Dube disclosed to Unplayable that he is presently working out alone after his loan agreement with Abafana Bes’thende expired in June.
This implies that Dube may sign with any team he wants before the start of the following season; however, it’s not clear if Arrows are still considering hiring him.
Dube had successfully completed a loan with Bloemfontein Celtic before returning to Pirates in 2017, but his lack of playing time compelled him to look for a loan transfer to Arrows.
The 29-year-old right defender was promoted from the club’s youth squad and made his debut with the Pirates’ first team in July 2013.
He did, however, spend most of his career playing for teams other than the Pirates, and it’s possible that he had intended to eventually have a permanent position on the squad.
Dube departs from Pirates after making just 39 appearances for them over the years, during which time he scored one goal and gave one assist.
