In New Zealand, a man was viciously mauled to death by his own dogs before officials were compelled to shoot one of the beasts.
The 69-year-old man was attacked by his pets as he was strolling across his property in a secluded location of Hokianga on the country’s North Island.
Before assaulting the old guy, four of his six dogs turned hostile.
Emergency personnel responded to the Panguru neighborhood on Puketawa Road where they discovered the dogs running loose.
The canines attacked despite their attempts to hold them, forcing one officer to shoot one of the dogs dead.
The remaining three perpetrators of the incident are still at large.
