Biden has yet to mention the raid at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home

After a week-long vacation in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, the Biden family returned to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday afternoon, and President Joe Biden assisted his grandson Beau off of Air Force One.

However, one person was absent: Jill Biden, the first lady, who tested positive for covid and remained in South Carolina to isolate.

As he assisted the two-year-old down the plane’s steps, the president grasped his grandson’s hand.

The Bidens returned to Washington D.C. on Tuesday afternoon after their South Carolina vacation - minus one family member, first lady Jill Biden, who tested positive for covid

In compliance with CDC recommendations, Biden wore a face mask after being identified as the first lady’s “close contact.”

According to Biden, his wife “is doing well.” Tuesday’s covid test was negative, according to the White House.

According to the White House, Biden will wear a mask for 10 days inside when he is with other people. His testing cadence will also be accelerated.

The president is making a full recovery from his own COVID. On July 21, Biden, 79, initially tested positive for covid.

On July 30, he subsequently had a rebound case, which put him back in isolation until August 7, when he once again tested negative.

The president’s son Hunter Biden and his wife Melissa Cohen also got off the aircraft and onto the Joint Base Andrews runway while wearing face masks.

The two rode back to the White House together in the presidential limousine known as the Beast with President BIden and Beau.

In keeping with his Tuesday plan, Biden will sign the Inflation Reduction Act at the White House before departing that evening for Wilmington, Delaware, to enjoy a few more days off.

After the bill narrowly passed the Senate 51-50 with support from all Democrats and Vice President Kamala Harris thanks to the reconciliation procedure, which shielded it from a Republican filibuster, the House passed it Friday 220-207 on a party-line vote.

It is one of Biden’s greatest legislative successes, and on September 6, he will host a celebration at the White House even though he signs it on Tuesday afternoon.

In order to promote the law and support Democrats as they work to maintain control of the House and Senate in November’s midterm elections, he will also soon be back on the road.

The raid at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate was another major story of the last week, but Biden has yet to openly address it.

The president did not discuss the raid with Attorney General Merrick Garland, according to the White House, and only learned about it after it had already been carried out. Garland claimed that the raid was his personal command.

Trump has asserted his victimhood. On Monday, he frequently criticised the FBI and the Department of Justice for a “attack on a political opponent.”

The former president’s rage has been shared by a number of Republicans as well.

Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican, said without evidence that Biden is “undermining the peaceful transition of power” in relation to the FBI’s investigation of Trump’s Palm Beach residence.

He also criticised Garland for agreeing to a federal judge’s approval of the FBI agents’ application to get a warrant for the operation.

During a filming of “The Verdict with Ted Cruz,” Cruz joined a lengthy number of Republicans in denouncing the Biden administration over the raid on Monday, calling the action “utterly unprecedented.”

Going all the way back to George Washington, no federal law enforcement official has ever conducted a house raid on a former president, according to the Texas conservative.

This has never occurred, in large part because our nation has a history of peaceful transfers of power.

FBI officials searched boxes of materials at Trump’s Florida property on Monday and removed 11 sets of top-secret papers, pictures, and other information.

According to the federal search order, FBI investigators removed 27 cartons of papers in all.

The raid on Monday was a component of a longer-running inquiry into the papers Trump took with him from the White House.

At the conclusion of each presidential administration, all such papers are required to be handed over to the National Archives and Records Administration in accordance with the Presidential Records Act.

The National Archives will be given “custody, management, and preservation” of the documents after a president leaves office.

Senator Ted Cruz said during a taping of his podcast that the Biden administration is guilty of an 'abuse of power' over the FBI's unannounced search of Mar-a-Lago

The statute designated all presidential and vice presidential records to be the property of the federal government.

Trump gave the Archives 15 cartons back earlier this year. However, during a day-long search on Monday, agents searched places in and around Trump’s private property as well as storage spaces at Mar-a-Lago, taking additional items.
