Before going on August 12, Laura McCulloch, 37, informed her family that she would be meeting a man from a dating app and even emailed them a picture of her attire.

However, after she failed to appear for work, yoga class, and other normal obligations, her family raised the alarm and launched an online search for the actress.

According to reports, she was last spotted at the upscale Japanese chain restaurant Gyu-Kaku in Los Angeles and was scheduled to meet someone she found through ‘Bumble or Tinder’

She was apprehended on Friday, shortly before her family raised the alarm about her apparent disappearance.

McCulloch was released on the 16th of August, four days after her family reported her missing.

She allegedly hurled a drink at a youngster and restaurant patron before ‘charging’ at policemen and biting one, according to Santa Monica police.

She was released on her own recognizance and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest, per the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Next month, McCulloch will be required to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court to face the allegations.

According to allegations, McCulloch threw a beverage at a neighboring restaurant patron and their two-year-old child.

McCulloch allegedly displayed “clear symptoms of intoxication” while yelling at the police and “charging” at them.

DailyMail.com contacted her family, who had made a missing persons alert on social media, but they were unaware that she had been detained.

Her sister, Clare McCulloch, uploaded an image of the two embracing online with the comment, ‘She is safe. She is unbound. She is fine. Thank you to everyone who assisted us in locating my cherished sister.

McCulloch appeared in her mugshot wearing the same shirt she wore on her date, which her sister posted on social media.

The Santa Monica Police Department issued the following statement: “On Friday, August 12, 2022, at about 8:30 p.m., officers were summoned to the 200 block of Arizona for a reported assault.”

A woman, subsequently identified as Laura McCulloch, allegedly hurled a beverage at a restaurant patron and their 2-year-old child.

“Upon arrival, authorities made contact with Ms. McCulloch, who had clear signs of intoxication.

McCulloch charged the cops while roaring obscenities while they were conducting the investigation.

McCulloch continued to demonstrate violent behavior despite efforts to calm her down. During attempts to apprehend her, she became physically violent, kicked officers, and bit one officer on the shoulder.

Laura McCulloch, an Australian citizen of 37 years old, was detained, taken to the Santa Monica Jail, and charged for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

It is believed that the actress is at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and she will be treated accordingly.

Her cousin Merrie McCulloch told DailyMail.com, ‘Yes, I can confirm that she is in safe hands, and I’ve been requested to help update the public with the news that she has been located. Thank you for your support.

It’s all very sketchy at the moment, but until we determine Laura’s present condition and her desires for future media coverage, we’re stepping back and concentrating on her health.

Clare, her sister, reported on Instagram that she had been discovered safe and sound.

The family would like to thank everyone for their assistance and support during this difficult time.

Her family and friends began their own search for her after learning that the LAPD had not yet classified her as a missing person.

The family has also claimed that the restaurant in Santa Monica, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, where she had scheduled to meet her date, refused to share any security footage without a court order.

A member of the restaurant’s staff asserts that the event occurred outside the establishment and that no one inside called the police.

The family, frustrated by the lack of assistance from LA investigators, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for a private investigator, which has currently garnered $1,000 AUD.

The post informed fans seeking the actress that she had been located, adding, ‘According to several U.S. sources, Laura has been successfully located!’

“At this time, we are unable to determine her condition and whether or not she need additional financial assistance, but I will send an update as soon as possible.”

Laura McCulloch relocated to Los Angeles in 2021 after working in New York as an actor, singer, voice-over artist, writer, and producer.

In 2022, her sole screen credit is the independent short film Covid Support Group, directed by American filmmaker Abigail Bogle.

In March 2021, she portrayed Madame Le Farge in an American theatrical adaptation of A Tale of Two Cities at South Carolina’s Bob Jones University.

She has also held the position of a nanny between roles.

In 2009, she had a supporting role in the film adaptation of the legendary ballet The Nutcracker. In 2010, she starred in the Australian short film The Black Sheep.
