Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo intentionally ignored Jamie Carragher before the clash with Liverpool.
The 37-year-old gatecrashed the Sky Sports pundits pitchside and snubbed Carragher as he tried to exchange pleasantries.
Ronaldo instead came across to speak to former teammates Gary Neville and Roy Keane before continuing his warm-up.
Moments earlier, Carragher suggested United could be better off without Ronaldo and Ferdinand believes the five-time Ballon d’Or winner wanted to make a point by “humiliating” the former Liverpool defender.
“Knowing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jamie Carragher’s been very vocal about Cristiano Ronaldo being the problem and stuff like that,’ Ferdinand said speaking on FIVE.
“Cristiano is very calculated, he’s very aware of what’s going on, he’s not somebody who sits at home and switches off.”
