Body of a man who fell to his death Friday afternoon at Grand Canyon National Park has been recovered


Rangers say they have found the body of a man who fell to his death at Grand Canyon National Park on Friday afternoon.

The identity and hometown of the 44-year-old who fell west of the Bright Angel Point Trail on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon have not been made public.

Rangers discovered his body 200 feet under the rim. According to reports, the man was off trail when he slid down the cliff.

The National Park Service and the Medical Examiner’s Office of Coconino County are conducting an investigation.
