Nissan is recalling more than 203,000 pickup trucks in the US due to the possibility that they might suddenly roll away when put in park.
The Frontier and Titan pickups from the 2020 through 2023 model years are included in the recall. In papers published by American safety officials on Thursday, Nissan advises owners to always activate the parking brake while putting their vehicles into storage.
According to the firm, when the trucks are put into park, a gearbox parking pawl could not engage. The trucks can’t move because of the pawl.
According to Nissan, no accidents or injuries have been reported.
The business is still working on the automobiles’ repairs. Beginning November 1, owners will get letters, and they will also be informed once more.
