Governor Ron DeSantis announced today that Hunter Bland, Christopher Castelli, and Robert Hilliard have been appointed to the Boating Advisory Council.
Hunter Bland
Bland, of Williston is an advocate for national boating safety and a professional bass angler. Formerly, he worked for Florida Fish and Wildlife as a Biological Scientist and Fisheries Technician. The University of Florida awarded Bland a bachelor’s degree in forest resources and conservation.
Christopher Castelli
Castelli, of Green Cove Springs, is a former Marine Patrol Deputy with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and now works for Geico Insurance. He is on the board of directors for the International Association of Marine Investigators. Western Carolina University awarded Castelli a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Robert Hilliard
Hilliard, of Clearwater, is a former Lockheed Martin Project Engineer and Manager. He has expertise operating kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, sailboats, and powerboats and is an ardent boater and sportsman. The University of Florida awarded Hilliard a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering.
