A landscape gardener, who once proposed to his girlfriend while disguised as a knight in shining armor, sexually attacked a teenage McDonald’s employee by slapping her behind as he was being serviced at the drive-thru.
Pervy Teesside Magistrates’ Court heard that Karl Madden reached between his car window and the kiosk and touched the girl, who was left angered and humiliated by Madden’s intrusive advances.
When he appeared in court, the disgraced 48-year-old, who was previously imprisoned for five years in 2007 for possessing 5 kg of cocaine worth £200,000, accepted his current crime.
Michael Embleton, the prosecutor, stated that Madden was driving into a McDonald’s driveway with a passenger when the incident occurred last December.
He stated, “He approached the collecting window; the victim was under 18 years old.” She turned away from the window.
Mr. Embleton stated that Madden, of Melrose Avenue, Billingham, reached through his own car window and into the drive-through kiosk through its window. He stated, “He assaulted the victim by slapping her behind.”

Madden, who was previously imprisoned for five years for being a narcotics courier, committed the assault while purchasing food from a drive-through.
The court was given CCTV footage of the event, which depicted Madden feigning the act before actually slapping the teen’s buttocks.
Mr. Embleton stated, “Under the circumstances, the victim’s harsh statements to the defendant are understandable.”
According to him, the teen was so distressed by the occurrence that she was unable to complete her shift because she could not stop thinking about it.
This occurred at the workplace of the victim, in front of coworkers and friends. In addition to being abused, she has also been humiliated,’ he continued.
Madden, a landscape gardener from Melrose Avenue in Billingham, slapped the youngster through his car window, leaving her upset and humiliated.
Teesside Live earlier reported that Madden proposed to his girlfriend in 2012 while dressed as a knight, complete with a helmet, sword, and cape.
The defense attorney, Ciara Smith, stated that Madden pleaded guilty at the earliest chance and that he deeply regrets his acts. She stated, “Mr. Madden is aware that this behavior is unacceptable in modern society.” He is completely conscious of the effect this has had on the victim.
According to the probation report, Ms. Smith’s client’s level of remorse is rare. She remarked, “It appears to be an isolated incidence.”
Ms. Smith continued, “The defendant has stated a desire to compensate the victim.” This is something he desires to undertake as a form of apology,’
Madden was handed a 12-month community order with 25 days of required rehabilitation activities. He must pay £150 in restitution and £95 in victim surcharge.
