Liz Truss was criticised by the spouse of Conservative MP Johnny Mercer for failing to “respect her commitment” to include a committed minister for veterans in her cabinet, saying that he is “fed up” and that she should.
Felicity Cornelius-Mercer criticised the Prime Minister on Twitter for degrading the 2.4 million veterans in the UK.

After graduating from high school, Mrs. Atherton—the first Conservative elected to represent Wrexham—joined the military and worked in the Intelligence Corps.
The newly appointed minister supports travel discounts for certain wounded former members of the British Armed Forces and serves on the Defense Select Committee.
She supported conversations regarding sexual assault trials in the armed services taking place in civilian tribunals as opposed to military courts in her capacity as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Wales.
Mrs. Cornelius-Mercer was a supervisor at MK Airlines before taking over her husband’s parliamentary office. MK Airlines was a Ghanaian freight carrier that had its East Sussex headquarters until going out of business in 2010.
The mother of three set the aim for herself as one of her 2022 New Year’s objectives, and she achieved it early this year by finishing her training and becoming a certified lifeguard.
She referred to the degree as “confirmation that your hard work has paid off” and expressed her happiness at feeling “a sense of success.”
She confessed earlier this year that her husband had been so “p****d” during a phone chat with the then-PM Boris Johnson that the following day he couldn’t recall their talk.
After his wife received criticism for the tweet, the Plymouth Moor View MP defended her.
“She’s with me on this crazy trip, experiencing the highs and many lows.” She is more than allowed to humiliate me, the PM, or anybody she chooses, he commented online.
