For the past 45 years, their most famous album artwork has been found in music collections around the world.
Now, Pink Floyd is celebrating the release of its Animals remix album by illuminating the Battersea Power Station, which appeared on the 1977 album cover.
Animals was self-produced by Pink Floyd at Britannia Row Studios in London in the late 1970s. The album’s cover featured a now-famous image of Battersea Power Station with a pink pig floating through the sky.
The iconic English rock band released a new version of their hit album Animals earlier this month (2018 Remix).
The album’s cover has a fresh image of the power plant and the recognizable flying pig.
To mark the release, the band launched a light show at the station this week, projecting the album’s original artwork. However, much to the dismay of the audience, the presentation lacked an inflatable pig.

The band stated it would host an event to commemorate the release of Pink Floyd’s Animals 2018 Remix, but provided little specifics.
Fans immediately suspected there would be a creative show that combined art and music. Some even believed that band members would visit the station.
After conducting a “test run” earlier in the week, Pink Floyd officially debuted the display on Wednesday night.
Photographs of the station’s display depict the station lighted with turquoise and magenta lights and a promotion stating, “Pink Floyd Animals Remix now available.”
It appeared that projections of the album’s artwork were also launched from the skyscraper and across the River Thames.
It is unknown whether tonight’s performance will differ from yesterday’s. In addition, there has been no sign that the band will show up for tonight’s performance.
