On Friday afternoon in southern California, a three-car collision left one person dead and a Ferrari in two pieces.
Fox 11 Los Angeles’s aerial footage depicted the incident with the red sportscar in bits.
Saturday, 3:42 p.m. Pacific Time, according to the Orange County Fire Authority’s report to Fox News.
On arrival, they treated three adults, one of whom was flown.
The driver of the Ferrari was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to KTLA.
Anselmo Templado, the California Highway Patrol’s Public Information Officer, verified to Fox News Digital that Ferrari driver Robert Nicoletti incurred fatal injuries when he was ejected from the vehicle owing to the impact’s power.
Fox 11 reported that authorities believed speed had a role in the accident that occurred on Santiago Canyon Road east of Limestone Canyon Regional Park in Silverado.
Templado confirmed, adding that the car’s speed prevented Nicoletti from negotiating the curve in the road. It is not suspected that alcohol played a role in this collision.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mazda SUV, a Toyota, and a Ferrari were involved in the collision.
Templado added that the drivers of the other two vehicles had relatively minor injuries.
A part of Santiago Canyon Road was reportedly closed between 4:12 p.m. and 8:02 p.m. Pacific Time.
