The third season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” features everyone’s favorite CIA analyst with two first names.

Mr. Ryan has been portrayed by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine, among others, over the course of the Jack-30-plus-year Ryanverse’s film career (did you know?).

Nevertheless, it appears that John Krasinski has no plans to leave the position.

The third season finds Krasinski as Ryan doing what he does best: going rogue, unearthing enormous conspiracies, and miraculously escaping certain death. Ryan, a formerly desk-bound CIA analyst thrust into the field in Season 1 after uncovering a money-laundering enterprise led by Islamic militants, considers it all in a day’s work.

Season 3 finds Ryan stationed in Rome, seeking to sabotage Russia’s ambitions to conquer neighboring countries and re-establish the Soviet Union.

After twice saving the world, Krasinski’s “Jack Ryan” returns for a third time in Season 3, attempting to achieve on his own what the United States Government has been striving to do since the end of World War II: limit Soviet influence and oversee the expansion of the Soviet Empire.

In a genre-atypical twist (wink), Ryan is cut off from his CIA contacts when he is suspected of treason following a failed intelligence assignment. Can Ryan rescue Russia’s frontiers from invasion despite being on the run from his closest allies and probably not being paid?
