According to authorities, a man clad in women’s clothing in Texas allegedly took photos from below a stall in a mall toilet before leaving while brandishing a pepper ball pistol.
The charges against 45-year-old Douglas Egan include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and improper photographing.
On Christmas Eve at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth, a female victim discovered a cellphone beneath a stall.
The woman challenged the suspect, described as “a man dressed as a woman” who attempted to exit the shopping center.
The defendant allegedly reached into his backpack and drew what seemed to be a revolver before pointing it towards the male witness who witnessed the argument and sought to assist.
The guy then exited the mall and, according to police, a weapon was visible in his waistband as he changed clothes.
The man was taken into custody after the arrival of law enforcement officers. The weapon was determined to be a pepper ball gun.
Egan is being jailed at the Tarrant County Correctional Center on a total bond amount of $30,000. Inmate records did not indicate a counsel who could represent him.
