Both propositions are true, and both can be true. Despite the fact that they paint quite distinct pictures.
The Colts are sticking with Nick Foles as their starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Giants despite Foles’ performance in Monday’s loss to the Chargers. Foles was sacked seven times and threw three interceptions while passing for 143 yards. These statistics are suggestive of a third-string quarterback, yet due to his background, Foles demands more respect than most of his peers in the NFL.
Julian Love, a safety, stated, “We all know what Nick Foles is capable of, so you must be prepared for that.” “He is an experienced individual who has accomplished tremendous things. Frankly, he’s not someone you should sleep with. Certainly, his experience requires you to be at the top of your game.
Foles is most remembered as the Super Bowl LII Most Valuable Player, when he outperformed Tom Brady with 373 passing yards, three throwing touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown on the oft-imitated “Philly Special.” In six career starts versus the Giants, he is 3-3 with eight touchdown passes, two interceptions, and a passer rating of 102.7.
Due to the Colts-Chargers game airing on “Monday Night Football,” Giants players were able to see Foles’ first start of the season on their day off before getting into the film on Tuesday.
“I watched it at home with my wife as if it were any other game,” said Love. Because we have time, we did not attempt to overanalyze the situation. I just wanted to get a general sense of how they played.”

The Colts have suffered five consecutive losses under interim head coach Jeff Saturday. Matt Ryan has been benched twice: once for Sam Ehlinger prior to the firing of head coach Frank Reich, and now by Saturday for Nick Foles.
“I don’t think making another adjustment is going to trigger anything,” Saturday remarked.
Tae Crowder was acquired by the Steelers from the Giants’ practice squad. The former “Mr. Irrelevant” draft pick started eight games earlier this season, but was replaced by rookie Micah McFadden and then released to create room for Landon Collins, before being re-signed to the practice squad.
