The following day, the Jets were still absorbing how, in one month, they went from playoff hopefuls to pretenders.
With a November record of 7-4 and a victory over the Bears, the Jets were promising. Now, they have lost five consecutive games and are eliminated from the playoffs for the twelfth consecutive year.
“It’s not easy. C.J. Mosley, a linebacker, remarked, “It’s unfortunate that you can add so many synonyms.” “We have one game left. Obviously, we’re not playing for the playoffs in this final game, but you must remember why you come to work every day to play this game: to win, to play for your brothers, to represent yourself, etc. As stated, it was a difficult defeat. We did not complete the season as we would have liked, but we are lucky enough to be healthy enough to play one more game with our teammates and coaches. We must simply savor this time to the fullest.”
Sunday at 1:00 p.m., the Jets will play in Miami against the Dolphins. Despite no longer having anything to play for in the postseason, the Jets vow they will remain motivated for this game.
C.J. Mosley believes the Jets have much to play for in the last game of the season.
“There is much at stake in this game,” said center Connor McGovern. “You have your entire career to consider. Every contest is a career-defining occasion. If I were a club owner or head coach seeking to invest in a player and give him a lot of money, I would likely pull up games in which there is little to play for to determine what kind of player they are. Do they adore the sport? Do they want to put up their best effort regardless of the stakes?”
Six snaps were missed by Mosley during the loss to the Seahawks. Rarely does he leave the field, but he stated that he had a “burning” in his right shoulder and left the field at the end of the game.
“Every time the appropriate contact was made or I was struck in the right location, it flared up,” Mosley explained. “At a certain point, you want to be out there for every snap, giving it your all whether you’re 100 percent or 1 percent healthy, but by the end of the game, I was playing with one shoulder. It was optimal for me and my team to come out for the final two plays of the drive.”
Mosley believes the issue will not affect his availability this week.
White, who has broken ribs, will be able to play Sunday against the Dolphins, according to Robert Saleh, who noted that quarterback Mike White experienced only ordinary pain after the game. … Saleh reported that safety Lamarcus Joyner (hip) will miss this week’s game. … Saleh stated that the Jets hope Nate Herbig (ankle) can play after missing the game against the Seahawks.
