Police claim newly released security images depict the three thieves who stole $300,000 from a Brink’s guarded vehicle in Brooklyn, including a man holding a bag while racing down the street.
During a cash drop at a Chase bank on Eighth Avenue and 54th Street in Sunset Park on January 6, two of the robbers distracted the driver by asking for directions, while the third snatched the money bag that a Brinks employee had momentarily placed on the truck’s rear bumper.
“While the employee was distracted, an unknown person quickly removed a bag left unattended on the bumper of the armored Brink’s truck and fled on foot,” according to police, who released the photographs over the weekend.
According to police, all three male perpetrators subsequently fled the scene. The bag held $300,000 in cash, according to the police.
According to police, no arrests have been made.
