Sunday, Austin Butler attended the 28th annual Critics’ Choice Awards, days following Lisa Marie Presley’s passing.
The “Elvis” actor was nominated for best actor for his portrayal of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in the biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Thursday, Lisa Marie, the only daughter of Elvis Presley, passed away at the age of 54.
It is his first appearance in public since her passing.
In a statement received by Fox News Digital on Friday, Butler stated, “My heart is completely broken for Riley, Finley, Harper, and Priscilla over the tragic and unexpected loss of Lisa Marie.”
“I am always grateful for the time I was fortunate enough to spend in the vicinity of her bright light, and I will always remember the calm moments we spent. Her genuineness, warmth, and love will forever be remembered.”
Lisa Marie and her mother Priscilla attended the 80th annual Golden Globes on Tuesday.
Presley was observed clapping Butler, who received an award for best actor in a drama film for his portrayal of her father in the 2022 musical drama “Elvis.”
Butler thanked Lisa Marie and Priscilla, who were seated with his sister Ashley, during his award speech.
“Thank you for welcoming me into your hearts, memories, and home. I will always love Lisa Marie and Priscilla, he declared. Lisa Marie, with tears in her eyes, covered her face, stroked her heart, and applauded.
Luhrmann posted a caption on Instagram beside a photo of Butler seated next to Lisa Marie.
“Over the past year, the entire ‘Elvis’ film family and I have enjoyed Lisa Marie’s gracious acceptance. Her abrupt, shocking death has affected people on every continent. I am certain that her followers throughout the world will join me in sending prayers of love and support to her mother, Priscilla, and her three beautiful daughters, Riley, Finley, and Harper,” he added.

Lisa Marie was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla, although she had a half-brother named Navarone Garibaldi due to Priscilla’s 20-year relationship with Marco Garibaldi.
Austin Butler was “forever grateful” for the time he had the opportunity to be around Lisa Presley’s “brilliant light.”
In his decades-long career, Elvis sold over 500 million records worldwide and is recognized by Guinness World Records as the best-selling solo artist of all time.
Riley Keough, her daughter from her first marriage to Danny Keough, survives her. With her ex-husband Michael Lockwood, she also had twins Harper and Finley.
Benjamin Keough, her son, committed suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.
