With the return of “The Mandalorian” this spring, Star Wars will be significantly nicer.
The first trailer for the third season of “The Mandalorian” was released on Monday, and featured a surprise appearance by Babu Frick, a fan-favorite character who won the hearts of many Star Wars fans and challenged Grogu (Baby Yoda) for the title of “cutest” in the galaxy.
“Babu Frik is my only concern,” tweeted one enthusiastic user.
“WAIT, IS GROGU GOING TO INTERACT WITH BABU FRIK?” exclaimed a third individual.
“BABU FRIK SIGHTING! I REPEAT! “BABU IS BACK, BABY,” the third individual added.
According to his official Star Wars bio, Babu Frik made his debut in the ninth installment of the saga, “The Rise of Skywalker.” Resistance agents Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), and Rey (Daisy Ridley) sought him out for his expert droid hacking skills.
Babu Frik, who made his film debut in “The Rise of Skywalker,” captivated many Star Wars fans and even challenged Grogu (Baby Yoda) for the title of “cutest” in the galaxy.
Shirley Henderson, who voiced the ghost Moaning Myrtle in the “Harry Potter” franchise, provided the voice for Frik.
The brand-new teaser hints at additional high-stakes adventures for Mando and Grogu, alongside old and new allies, as the team fights off against new and terrifying foes. The adolescent Jedi is also seen using the Force with increasing effectiveness, which fans first witnessed in “The Book of Boba Fett.”
The teaser also brings viewers back to the galactic metropolis world of Coruscant, which served as a power hub in the prequel films and Disney’s most recent series “Andor.”
