Tione Jayden Merritt, a 21-year-old musician whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested on Monday after police pulled over the Cadillac Escalade he was riding in and discovered multiple loaded firearms, according to police.

The Bronx-born rapper is charged with criminal possession of a firearm in the second degree, a felony.
Ira Judelson, a well-known bail bondsman, posted Merritt’s bond on Wednesday, and he was anticipated to be released from Rikers Island later that day.

Lil Tjay, whose actual name is Tione Jayden Merritt, is a Bronx rapper whose debut album, “True 2 Myself,” debuted on the Billboard 200 chart on November 5.
According to Bergen County prosecutors, Merritt made headlines in June when he was shot numerous times during an attempted robbery at The Promenade in Edgewater, New Jersey.
