Police say a 34-year-old man died early Friday morning after being pushed into the subway tracks at an Upper West Side station.
The straphanger fractured his skull at the 96th Street Station just before 2:00 a.m., according to the police.
The man, whose identity was withheld awaiting notification of his family, was taken by EMS to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Andre Boyce, a 28-year-old guy, was taken into custody by law enforcement, according to police sources.
According to authorities, charges were pending against Boyce, who has a history of mental health calls to the department.
