A lady in her fifties was killed when a 20-meter-long tree branch fell onto the car she was driving on a remote roadway.
A witness said that the driver was driving a station waggon west on Illawarra Road near Burrawang in the southern highlands of New South Wales on Saturday afternoon when a branch struck her windscreen.
The driver, who has yet to be publicly named, was pronounced dead at the site of the unusual accident.
