On Sunday, 5 February, Arthur Mafokate had another thing coming when he decided to brag about his farm on Twitter; the tweet was not well received by fellow Twitter users, who ridiculed him and reminded him that he had not been exonerated of the Lotto fraud claims.
Mafokate is delighted with his farm. It has been displayed multiple times on his social media networks. Approximately two weeks ago, he posted a picture of it on Instagram with the message,
“Just to inspire young people, please be aware that in five years there will be a food shortage in South Africa, and you should prepare now and stop spending too much time on social media; life is good ”
After posting the photo on Instagram, internet people commended the Mnike singer for his efforts to establish a sustainable future for himself through farming.
This time, however, Arthur tweeted a photo of his farm. He captioned his social media photo,
“Agriculture Sundays! As we plan the farmer’s market business.”
According to Business Day, the Haai Bo hitmaker was still embroiled in corruption allegations alleging that he and a few others misappropriated approximately R56 million of community development funds from the National Lotteries Commission (NLC).
