White House officials indicated Monday that there are “hundreds, if not thousands” of unidentified flying objects in the sky, but they are likely used automobile balloons or other benign things and not aliens visiting Earth.
“There are no unidentified flying objects. According to Fox News, White House Homeland Security Adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall told governors in a virtual briefing after the US military shot down three unidentified flying objects this weekend that “this is not an alien invasion.”
Sherwood-Randall stated, “It’s funny, but it’s not funny because people are communicating this on widely viewed platforms.”
Despite Sherwood-assurances Randall’s to the elected representatives, the government has been unable to identify the three recently-downed objects.
The first was shot down Friday off the Arctic coast of Alaska, the second Saturday over Canada’s Yukon Territory, and the third Sunday over Lake Huron.
Sherwood-Randall stated on Monday’s teleconference with governors that there are “hundreds, if not thousands” of objects in the sky.
She said that the majority are assumed to be banal and could include “used car lot balloons” or aircraft launched by commercial enterprises.
The White House advisor told governors, “It’s true that there are things being identified that don’t resemble anything else and don’t pose much of a threat, and we need to figure out what to do about them.” It turns out that there are hundreds, if not thousands of them.
The chief of the US North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and Northern Command (NORCOM), Air Force Gen. Glen VanHerck, stated on Sunday that he could not rule out the possibility of aliens following the weekend shoot-downs.
I’ll leave that up to the intelligence and counterintelligence communities. VanHerck said.
Monday, however, officials recanted his remarks.
During her daily press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated, “I am aware that there have been questions and concerns about this, but there is no indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity with these recent takedowns.”
John Kirby, a spokesman for the National Security Council of the White House, stated that he does not believe the American people should be concerned about aliens in relation to this craft. Period.”
This week, the White House will establish an interagency task team to investigate the unexplained items.
Authorities are attempting to locate and recover debris from the three most recently shot-down objects.
The debris from the first unidentified object, described as being the size of a small vehicle, is believed to have landed on the offshore ice of Alaska, while the second and third debris fields are believed to be in the Canadian wilderness.
The three shoot-downs follow the destruction of a high-altitude Chinese surveillance balloon off the coast of South Carolina on February 4.
It is believed that the most recent objects are much lower-flying and smaller than the Chinese spy balloon, which was roughly the size of three buses.
