Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane escorted by police at Peter Mokaba

It is unclear what the reaction of most Kaizer Chiefs fans across the country will be, but a recent image suggests that the team’s coach, Arthur Zwane, was escorted out of the Peter Mokaba pitch by the police following their 3-2 loss to Golden Arrows on Sunday.

This type of event is not unprecedented, as we have seen similar incidents with former coaches from Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

During coach Zwane’s post-match interview, a Twitter user posted an image showing police near Chiefs fans and the Peter Mokaba tunnel. The user, @juca_siyabulela, commented on the incident, saying “Yhoooo it was bad in Polokwane moss apparently Mangethe [Arthur Zwane] was escorted by the police.”

You can see the image below, which captures the police and coach Zwane near the media booth.
