On Sunday evening, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were held at the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles.
However, reports claim that hundreds of guests, including A-list stars such as Bill Murray, Claire Foy, and Rooney Mara, were stranded outside the venue as the show began.
A fire marshal blocked the entrance, leaving guests waiting for the green light.
Ramin Setoodeh, co-editor-in-chief of Variety, shared videos on Twitter showing the “madness” of the situation, including one of Foy and Mara waiting in line for entry.
In the clips, Foy is seen dressed in a satin yellow frock, while Mara stands beside her.
Both actresses were among the many guests who were not allowed inside the ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel due to the fire marshal’s order.
Setoodeh tweeted that there was “chaos” at the #SAGAwards, with many guests waiting outside for the fire marshal to let them inside.
Meanwhile, “Dead to Me” star Christina Applegate arrived at the SAG Awards earlier in the evening.
One of Setoodeh’s videos also captured Murray, waiting outside with the other guests.
The event was significant for 51-year-old actress Christina Applegate, who previously hinted that it could be her last award show following her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
On the red carpet, she was accompanied by her 12-year-old daughter, Sadie Grace, and her cane, which read, “FU MS.”
