During today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Drew Barrymore reunited with her “lifelong friend” Paris Hilton to reminisce about their wild pasts as “party girls.”
Hilton appeared on the show to promote her new book Paris: The Memoir, and the two women joked about how far they’ve come since their younger years.
Both ladies participated in their fair share of “the good, the naughty, the bad, the fun,” as Barrymore put it.
Barrymore pulled up a photo of Hilton walking out of jail after spending 23 days behind bars for violating her probation on a reckless driving conviction in 2006.
She then brought up a photo from her own childhood, showing her smoking and partying at the age of nine. Some audience members giggled, while others let out an audible “aw.”
Barrymore commented, “I know. Funny, sad, weird, like, all of the above.”
The next set of photos showed Barrymore and Hilton partying in clubs. Barrymore noted, “Here we are. Party girls. God, that was fun,” while Hilton echoed, “So much fun.
People don’t know what fun is today.” Barrymore concluded her trip down memory lane by flashing forward nearly two decades with a photo of Hilton in front of the White House “being an advocate” and one of herself interviewing President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
Hilton explained why she continues to “peel back the curtain” on her life, telling Barrymore, “Ever since my documentary, it was the first time that I ever really got real, and I’ve just been on this whole path of self-discovery because my life was moving so fast and I had been through so much trauma that I’ve never had a moment to just think about everything.”
She added, “The past couple years have just been so empowering and I just feel like I finally know who I am.”
The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS, and local airtimes can be found on their website.
