In a post-game interview, Mitchell Robinson talked about the dunk he made that sealed the Knicks’ victory over the Nuggets.
However, when asked about his recent social media posts, Robinson refused to answer and said he wanted to move forward.
Robinson had expressed his frustration on Snapchat about his role on the team, saying he was only out there for cardio and wasting his time and energy.
He later explained on Instagram that this was due to family issues and that he should have handled it differently.
Despite this, Robinson made it clear that he was happy with his role on the team.
When asked if he had spoken to his teammates about his social media posts, Robinson gave a one-word answer in the negative.
However, his social media antics did not seem to have caused any issues in the Knicks’ locker room.
Immanuel Quickley said that they joked about it on the plane and that they understand who Robinson is as a person.
Quickley also said that they want everyone on the team to be happy and to try to win.
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau saw Saturday’s game as a bounce-back performance for Robinson, who had scored very few points in his last three games.
Thibodeau also praised the team’s effort against the Nuggets, especially against Nikola Jokic, who led the Nuggets in scoring with 24 points.
Miles McBride did not play in the game, with Jalen Brunson back in the rotation.
