Man Arrested for Attempted Baptism in Church Fountain While Naked
A 20-year-old man, Jeremiah Sykes, was arrested in Arizona after he allegedly tried to baptize himself while naked in the fountain of the One Life Church in Mesa.
The police found him in the act and asked him to leave. Sykes initially refused but eventually grabbed a blanket to cover himself.
He was charged with criminal trespass and indecent exposure, and refused to have his mug shot taken by the Mesa Police Department.
He also allegedly assaulted two detention officers, one of whom was hospitalized due to a laceration near his eyebrow.
