Kris Jenner is shocked by the “sudden” passing of Andrea Thompson, the mother of Tristan Thompson.
“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Andrea, Tristan’s mother,” the momager, 67, wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, before offering her condolences to the NBA star and his brothers Amari, Dishawn, and Daniel Thompson.
“You were the most remarkable, devoted, unselfish, and devoted mother and the most kind, caring, and wonderful grandmother. What a boon you have been to your family!” Jenner continued.
“Andrea, I will miss you. I will miss your incredible spirit and light. Thank you for continually praying for us, raising us up, and bolstering our spirits along the path. Rest in peace darling angel @realtristan13.”
The mother added that she is “devastated” by Andrea’s “unexpected death.”
Jenner’s heartfelt post follows Page Six’s report that Andrea suffered cardiac arrest on Thursday and could not be revived. According to the insider, her death was “unexpected.”
Andrea experienced a heart attack at home, according to TMZ, the first media outlet to publish the news. She was hurried to a nearby hospital for treatment, but doctors were unable to save her life.
Tristan, 31, and his ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian, 38, took a private flight from Los Angeles to Toronto so that the NBA champion could spend time with his family.
A source previously told Page Six that the Good American creator will continue to be by Tristan’s side while they co-parent True, their 4-year-old daughter, and their son, who was born via surrogate in the summer.
Tristan has expressed a great deal of affection and appreciation for his mother on social media throughout the years.
On Mother’s Day in 2020, the former Chicago Bulls star sent a special message to Andrea.
“Happy Mother’s Day! “One day is insufficient to praise and exalt you,” he wrote at the time. “Your day is every day. Thank you for making so many sacrifices for me and my brothers. I am extremely fortunate to have been picked as your son; I adore you. Not every superhero wears a cape.”
Tristan has not yet reacted publicly on the death of his mother.
