LASU Post-UTME/Direct Entry Form

LASU is currently offering post-UTME and Direct Entry screening forms for the 2022/2023 academic year. Below are the requirements and application instructions for the LASU Post UTME form.

A. Applications from adequately qualified candidates are invited for the Lagos State University 2022/2023 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular Student without Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training), for Candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level) and DIRECT Entry (200level). This ONLINE screening procedure is required for admission to Lagos State University. The Annual Tuition Fee for Regular Students without Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training is N57,048.50.

B. Applications are being accepted from properly qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2022/2023 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular student with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training) for Candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level ONLY). This ONLINE screening is required for admission to the B.Sc./B.A. WITH CERTIFICATE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM at Lagos State University. The Annual Tuition Fees for Regular Students enrolled in Comprehensive Entrepreneurship are just One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000.00).

NOTE THAT CANDIDATES MAY ONLY APPLY FOR EITHER A OR B ABOVE DURING THE ADMISSION SCREENING. Candidates are prohibited from screening for both A and B.

The Online Admission Screening Exercise is open to candidates who selected Lagos State University as their First Choice university in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and obtained a minimum of 185 marks. Moreover, candidates must be at least 16 years old by October 1, 2022.

ALL Pre Degree Studies (PDS) students who have successfully completed their studies and wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University in the 2022/2023 Academic Session, must have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice institution in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), and must have scored at least 185 marks are eligible to participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise.

ALL Direct Entry Candidates, including LASU Foundation (JUPEB), who wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University for the 2022/2023 Academic Session, must have obtained a Direct Entry Form from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and must have selected Lagos State University as their First Choice institution, and must also apply for the Screening Exercise.

Candidates of Lagos State Origin, for 100 & 200 levels, whose claims have been confirmed by the Lagos State University’s Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (lIVC) will have their claims automatically recognized during the Online Admission Screening Exercise.

How to Apply for Admission to LASU Post UTME Form

A. 2022/2023 LASU POST-UTME ONLINE PAYMENT REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Visit www.lasu.edu.ng, navigate to Student, and then click on New Applicants.
UTME/DE Screening can be accessed at https://screening.lasu.edu.ng/.
Kindly Enter your UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER and LAST NAME, and then click the PROCEED button.
Enter your GSM NUMBER, your parent’s GSM NUMBER, and your email address on the new page.
SELECT SUBMIT
Click Make Payment for LASU Post UTME Screening on the new page.
Select Regular student Or Regular student with Entrepreneurship from the Student Type menu.
Name of the Candidate and the Amount of N2,000.
To make a payment, click Make Payment (On PAYTECH Platform).

Return to screening.lasu.edu.ng and select LOG IN upon successful payment to view your SCREENING PIN (PIN 1, PIN 2, PIN 3 etc., depending on the payment platform)
After obtaining the registration PIN, visit lidc.lasu.edu.ng.

Click on ENTRANCE SCREENING
Click the UTME CANDIDATE LOG IN button.
Enter your UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER and LAST NAME, then press the PROCEED button. Then click the “Begin Admissions Review” option.

At this time, your fundamental bio-data will be revealed. Select REGULAR STUDENT ADMISSION SCREENING or REGULAR STUDENT WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP ADMISSION SCREENING from “Type of Screening,” and then enter/purchase the LASU POST UTME SCREENING PIN to proceed with the Self-Screening form.

After completing the application, you must print a copy of the Temporary Self-Screening Report. To print their Final Self-Screening Report, all Screened Candidates must log in to their Admission Screening Portal.

The candidate may repeat the preceding steps if there is a need to update/correct previously submitted records. Candidates will then be asked to visit screening.lasu.edu.ng and pay for PIN 2, PIN 3, PIN 4, etc. Other than PIN 1, further PINs can be used to correct data.

B. ONLINE SELF-SCREENING FORM FOR ALL CANDIDATES

STEP I

Return to screening.lasu.edu.ng and click LOG IN to print your SCREENING PIN following successful payment for the LASU 2022/2023 Admission screening exercise.

STEP II

Use your UTME Registration Number AND LAST NAME to get in to the LASU Online Screening Platform at https://services.lidc.lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening, then input your SCREENING PIN received in Step I.

STEP III

Completely fill out your personal information
Save and continue
Enter your UTME data with care.
Upload a scanned copy of your UTME result slip [NO MORE THAN 30KB (PDF)].
Save and continue
Select the number of O’ Level exams taken (s)
Scan and submit O’ Level result slips [NO MORE THAN 30KB (PDF)].

NB:

Five (5) O’ Level Credits in topics relevant to the candidate’s intended course of study must be obtained in no more than two (2) sittings, with the exception of Medicine and Dentistry, which require ONLY one (1) sitting.
A minimum of six (6) O’ Level Credits must be earned in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, one (1) additional Science topic, and any other subject for candidates who intend to use Two (2) sittings of O’ Level Results for any Engineering Program.
Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering requires a passing grade of Credit in Additional Mathematics.
A passing grade in English Language is required for admission to all courses at Lagos State University.
Candidates must ENSURE that they upload their O-Level results to JAMB CAPS prior to the conclusion of the Admissions Screening Exam.
Candidates of Lagos State Origin MUST have proven their claims to the Lagos State University’s Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before proceeding to the Online Screening, as their claims will be automatically recognized.
Note that examinations administered after July 2022 are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

STEP IV

Carefully evaluate the provided information and VERIFY that it is accurate.
CHECK THE “I CERTIFY” BUTTON IF YOU AGREE WITH ALL PREVIEW DETAILS.
By selecting the “I Certify” checkbox, the candidate affirms that the screening will be based only on the information provided, as the screening decision is final. If you do not agree to the mentioned terms, you will be prevented from proceeding.
Select the continue button to proceed.

STEP V

You will be forwarded to the Screening Homepage after submission.
To generate your SCREENING report, enter your UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER and then click DOWNLOAD RESULT.

C. ONLINE PRELIMINARY EVALUATION FOR ALL CANDIDATES

The Screening of Candidate(s) will be based on the Point Grading System, using the UTME Score and SSCE (or equivalent) Grades in Five (5) BEST RELEVANT subjects to the Candidate’s Choice of Course. The relevant subjects can be found in the 2022 JAMB brochure, which is available online at www.jamb.gov.ng or https://jamb.gov.ng/ibass.
Before participating in the online Admission Screening, candidates are recommended to visit the JAMB website to review the O’ Level subject requirements for the course of their choosing.

The point system is comprised of the following components:

The duration of payment and registration/updating is Twenty-Five [25] days, i.e., Tuesday, October 4, 2022 through Friday, October 28, 2022. (12 midnight).
