Former Director of Communications Claims Boris Johnson Confronted King Charles III

…By Larry John for TDPel Media.

Harri’s Claims About the Confrontation

Guto Harri has claimed in a new political memoir podcast series called Unprecedented that a confrontation occurred between Boris Johnson and King Charles III in Kigali, Rwanda.

According to Harri, Johnson “squared up” and “confronted” the prince whilst on a trip in the country.

Harri also claimed that Johnson warned the future king to “be careful” or he would “end up having to sell the Duchy of Cornwall to pay reparations for those who built it”.

Harri’s Perspective on the Johnson Era

During an interview with Nick Ferrari on LBC, Harri expressed his desire to provide a glimpse of what it was really like to work for Johnson and put “Partygate” into perspective, adding that there was a lot more to say about that period than what was reported by the press and media.

Details of the Confrontation

In the interview, Harri clarified that the confrontation was not a physical fight, but a disagreement between Johnson and the prince over the latter’s criticism of an extremely popular and central government policy, which was on the eve of the two of them going to the very place at the heart of the story – Rwanda.

Harri stated that the policy was popular among the 14 million people who voted for Johnson in the last election, and it was not for a future king to criticise it.

Unprecedented Podcast

Unprecedented is a political memoir podcast series that provides a first-hand account of Harri’s time as director of communications in Downing Street.

In the podcast, which will be released on Thursday, May 11, Harri is set to detail his experience working for Johnson, attending top secret meetings about Brexit, Covid, the war in Ukraine and the countless scandals that plagued the Conservative party.
