Sergei Goryachev, aged 52 and the chief of staff for the 35th Combined Arms Army, was reportedly killed during a Ukrainian rocket attack in the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region on Monday night.
It is reported that the general was stationed at a frontline location in Zaporizhzhia that had been subjected to intense fire during Ukraine’s counteroffensive.
