After a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Ribadu stated that the record of crimes and activities of criminals in the country are decreasing and will continue to do so.
They called upon Nuhu Ribadu and other security chiefs to take immediate action to counter terrorism and restore sanity to the nation.
The party further cited numerous cases of banditry, armed robbery, kidnapping, and other crimes across various regions of Nigeria.
They also pointed out the terror attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train in March 2022, which resulted in deaths and abductions.
Labour Party Holds Buhari-led APC Government Accountable
The Labour Party held the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government accountable for its failure in providing adequate security.
They urged the government to surpass the shortcomings of the previous administration and effectively utilize the investments made in the security system.
The party emphasized that a secure nation is essential for attracting much-needed investments to Nigeria.
