Ali and his fighters were reportedly displaced by the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorist group following a coordinated raid on Boko Haram hideouts in Bula Alhaji Garwaye, located on the fringes of the Sambisa forest near Bama LGA on July 5, 2023.
The trials are scheduled to take place in Kainji, Niger State, within a secure environment provided by the special security group, Operation Safe Corridor.
