Victims Named in Horrific Car Crash on Worcestershire Country Road
A four-year-old boy, Keegan Fettis, his mother Gemma Hobbins (32), and her friend Cody Smith (28) tragically lost their lives in a devastating car crash on a country road in Worcestershire.
The incident occurred on the evening of May 10, instantly claiming the lives of the three individuals.
Collision Details and Additional Vehicles Involved
The victims were traveling in a blue Ford Focus towards Kidderminster around 10:15 p.m.
When their vehicle collided with a black Audi A7 traveling in the opposite direction.
The police have recovered a silver Volkswagen Golf and a black Vauxhall Vectra, which are believed to have been involved in the fatal crash as well.
Location and Efforts to Save the Victims
The tragic accident occurred outside the Duke William Pub in Callow Hill on the A456.
Despite the immediate response and efforts of emergency crews, the victims could not be saved, and they succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Devastation and Statements from the Families
The victims, hailing from the Kidderminster and Stourport area, left Gemma’s family in a state of profound devastation.
In an official statement, West Mercia Police conveyed the family’s gratitude towards the emergency services and individuals who tried to help.
Keegan’s family expressed their indescribable grief, struggling to find words to express their devastation.
Cody’s family, including her father, sister, nieces, and nephews, shared their deep sorrow, emphasizing her vibrant presence in their lives.
Injuries, Arrests, and Investigation
A woman and two children who were in the Audi sustained minor injuries and were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Following the incident, three men aged 31, 25, and 18, along with a 17-year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
They have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
