A road rage incident on a congested motorway in Sydney’s south resulted in the stabbing of a guy with a pen.
Emergency services were called to Mascot’s Southern Cross Drive at approximately 3.25 p.m., according to police, after complaints that a trash truck’s driver had reportedly been attacked with a pen by the driver of another vehicle.
The trash truck’s 49-year-old driver was brought to the hospital with slight arm injuries.
There is a closure of two southbound lanes on Southern Cross Drive between General Holmes Drive and Botany Road.
Drivers have been urged to take cautious and give themselves additional time for travel as two of the three lanes have reopened.
A silver Kia Carnivale wagon’s driver is reportedly wanted by police.
More will follow.
